Management and care

• Level II outpatient clinics (Wednesday 14.00-17.00, Friday 14.00-17.00). Diagnostic and therapeutic framework of cerebrovascular pathology to define a treatment path adapted to the individual patient and a rigorous control of risk factors.

• Neuro Fast Track (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14.30 to 17.00). The treatment pathway is dedicated to addressing urgent neurological conditions, ensuring patient care is provided within 72 hours of the request. It includes: neurological evaluation, prescription, booking and execution of the required diagnostic tests, final neurological examination with prescription of therapy and subsequent outpatient check-ups at the II-level outpatient clinic most suitable for the pathology diagnosed. The initial neurological evaluation can determine if indicated, the urgent admission to the most suitable O.U. of our Institute to address the patient's neurological symptoms.
• Urgent admissions (IV floor). Patients are admitted on the recommendation of Emergency Room doctors, NeuroFast Track doctors, and other institute professionals.

• Elective hospitalisations (IV floor). The institute's doctors recommend admitting patients who need in-depth diagnostics.

Both pharmacological and advanced diagnostic clinical trials are available. In particular, the centre participates in studies such as:

• Identification of Novel Therapeutic Treatments in Early and Long-Term Secondary Prevention in Patients With Non-Cardioembolic Ischemic Stroke.
• The role of advanced neuroimaging (vessel wall M.R.I.) in identifying the emboligenic source in patients with ischemic stroke with an undetermined emboligen source and in preventing ischemic recurrence.
• Role of Artificial Intelligence in Predicting the Risk of Intraparenchymal Hemorrhage Expansion and Its Impact on the Treatment Pathway and Outcome
• Identification of serum biomarkers predictive of outcome in ischemic stroke as potential therapeutic targets.
• Role of inflammation and hyperglycemia in the acute phase of cerebral haemorrhage on functional outcome and hematoma expansion.
• Clinical, neuroradiological and biochemical features of ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke secondary to cerebral amyloidosis to define the specific evolutionary pattern.
• Efficacy and Safety of Mechanical Recanalization Treatments in Acute Ischemic Stroke Due to Large Intracranial Vessel Occlusion in Particular Patient Subtypes (Great Elderly, Distal Occlusions, etc.).
